The President of the Republic, Mr Wavel Ramkalawan has sent a message to the Orthodox Christian community of Seychelles on the occasion of Orthodox Easter celebrated on 5th May 2024:

"On behalf of the country and on my personal behalf, I wish to extend a special Easter wish to all our brothers and sisters of the Seychelles Orthodox Christian Faith.

Christ is Risen! We thank God on this auspicious occasion of Easter, representing hearts filled with happiness, love, hope  and peace.
Through Easter, positivity and light have triumphed over evil and darkness, symbolic of the challenges of life.

Let us continue to pray for love, kindness and blessings to be showered on our small island nation; Seychelles.
